Q. Why Haiti?

A. While there are many third world countries that  need and deserve our help, I personally witnessed the needless suffering in Haiti.  "In God's Hands" (IGH) is currently focusing all it's attention on one area in order to be of help.

Q. Are you associated with any other organizations or do you promote any specific religion or faith?

A. No, we do not promote nor discriminate regardless of faith, background or due to social or geographical isolation.

Q. Why should I give to a small charity instead of a larger well known charity?

Yes, there are some very worthy charities such as the United Nations World Food Program.  However, one advantage of giving to a smaller non-profit organization such as "In God's Hands, Inc." is that, being more efficient, nearly all your donation goes to help the poor.

Q. Why don't you just send money?

A.  Because of the current political and social-economic conditions in Haiti, the resources we are sending (basic food stables, over the counter medical supplies, school supplies, clothing, etc.) are not readily available on the local economy.  For this reason we buy our supplies in the U.S. and ship in pallets to the nearest port.

Q. What percentage of your money goes to real Aid?

A. Better than 98% of all funds raised are dedicated to program delivery.  All In God's Hands, Inc. U.S. staff are volunteers.  Most of our administrative expenses are paid out of pocket by our volunteers and partners.

Q. What does "In God's Hands Inc." do with the funds that are raised?

A.  Better than 98% of funds raised are used to:
-   Buy Food, and basic life necessities such as over the counter medicine, vitamin supplements, school supplies.
-   Ship Food and Supplies to Haiti

Upon arrival of shipments at Port a Prince, a group of volunteers Supervised by Fr. Venel Suffrard of the St. John the Evangelist Center distributes the food and supplies to the needy families of Haiti.

Q. Can I send you a check?

A.  Yes.  Please click here for instructions.

Q. Non-Cash Donations?

A.  Yes, we currently accept non-cash donations.  We are particularly interested in businesses and groups that may be able to help with basic medical & school supplies.  We would also be interested in bulk food donations.  Please send an e-mail to: IwantToHelp@ingodshandsinc.org with specifics and one of our aid volunteers will contact you.

Q. What else can I do to help?

A.  There are many ways to help.  You could sponsor your own fund-raiser or collect summer clothing and school supplies.  In addition, you can help by making the public aware of the needless suffering in the many third world countries, in this case, Haiti which is only 800 miles from our shores off Florida.

Q. Other questions?

A.  If you have other questions please contact us.
